The Modern Day Log Cabin

 

On a recent trip to Angelfire, New Mexico (have I mentioned I want to have a house there!) with my hubby and friends we were fortunate to be there during a tour of homes in the mountains.  You know how you drive by certain houses and “oooh” and “aaaah” and wonder what they look like on the inside?…….. Well, we got to see them firsthand.  And, don’t  you know that was right up my alley?!   So fun!  One of the houses we saw was an amazing log cabin.

But, probably not so much the cabin that first comes to mind.

This is a high end, state of the art modern day log cabin with incredible detail down to the last nook and cranny.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words and this is one case where that holds true.  Peruse the pictures below for the tour of this amazing log cabin:

Every room – thick, solid wood, a feeling that this house is as solid and well built as it gets.

Even the stairs were cut logs……awesome!

The furnishings are heavy duty, sturdy logs. too.  Solid, sturdy….and beautiful.   (That’s my friend Barbie posing in the background. )
