TASTY TUESDAY: CROCKPOT COBBLER

Want a fantastic dessert to serve for the holidays?  You have to try this yummy recipe.  I’ve made it and shared it numerous times and it’s always a hit.  I’ve yet to find anyone who doesn’t love it.

And the best part of it is how simple it is.

CROCKPOT BLUEBERRY COBBLER

You’ll need two cans of some type of fruit pie filling.  It doesn’t matter which flavor – any will work.  My family’s fave tends to be the blueberry so that’s what I’m showing you today.  But you could do cherry, apple….whatever your fave is.

CROCKPOT BLUEBERRY COBBLER

Pour the two cans of pie filling in the bottom of your crock pot.

Pour one box of yellow cake mix into a medium size bowl.

Melt one stick of non-salted butter and add to cake mix.  Mix together well.

Pour the cake mixture on top of the pie filling.  You can also just pour the dry cake mix over the pie filling first and top with melted butter like I did here.  Normally I do it the other way, but either way works fine.

Add a nut topping if you’d like.  (This is completely optional.)

Let this cook on high for 2 1/2 – 3 hours.  Start checking at around 2 1/2 hours.  When bubbly and the cake mix is browned it’s ready to serve,

Serve it hot and gooey over vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy!

Happy Eating

And

Happy Decorating!
