When my daughter decided to transform her room yet again from Hollywood Bling to more of a Bohemian Vintage Chic she came up with a great idea to update her old white chest of drawers.
From this…..
To something with more personality and charm by using the old technique called Mod Podging.
She purchased different colors and patterns of craft paper at Hobby Lobby to match her new comforter and her new look…
Along with the Mod Podge….
Then she got her brush and glue and spread it all out all over her floor….
(She was none to happy that I snapped a picture in the middle of it all. )
She began by cutting the craft paper to fit the drawer, then glued them on. Next she brushed on the Mod Podge and let it dry. You can see she cut a smaller piece to go under the new drawer pulls she purchased at Hobby Lobby.
Little bird drawer pulls….aren’t they cute? She lined the smaller rectangle with stick-on pearls.
And, this is the finished product. Turned out great….don’t you think?!
With the successful Mod Podge transformation on her furniture she got the idea to use the same technique for some Christmas gifts.
For one of her brother’s and sister-in-law’s she purchased a plain white cross……
She printed off pictures from their Facebook pictures and cut them to fit the cross. She glued them on, then brushed on the Mod Podge.
Then she lined the entire cross with these stick-on pearls…..
And, here’s what it turned out like…..Cool, huh!
For her other brother and sister-in-law she purchased a large wooden “M” and did the same exact process…. And, it turned out just as cool!
Yep, my girl’s got talent!
Here’s some more fun Mod Podge idea’s:
I know…..a car!?…..Kinda out there…..but, so fun in a hippy-throw-back sort of way!
Mod Podge! – Easy, inexpensive and totally fun!
