Quick and easy are two of our favorite words aren’t they? Especially when it comes to seasonal decor. Quick and easy to set up and quick and easy to take down. Today I’m going to share with you a few Easter crafts to help you bring in some Easter fun without a lot of time and and without a lot of expense. Some of these I shared last year, but they’re still very relevant and will be used again in my home this year.
Decorating with springtime color and Easter fun
I had so much fun decorating my screened in porch in these fun colors a couple of years ago. It didn’t cost a lot of money, just a little time, but I enjoyed trying decopauging for the first time. To be truthful it didn’t turn out perfect by any stretch, but it was fun and turned out cute enough. I’ll be re-using most of this decor this year, too. This project was easier than I thought it would be and I found it fun. It took a few practice runs to get it right, but once I got the hang of it I was on a roll. And, the nice thing is…..it’s now ready to use year after year with no additinoal work involved. Love that.
I also found the black and white a fun color for these eggs and bunny. They’re so bright and fun….don’t ya think? Hot gluing them onto sticks made them easy to insert into my flower arrangement.
I think the pops of color with the black and white is a fun color combination. It makes my dining area on my screened in porch a cheery, joyful space.
Add tiny bunnies to your place settings
Sometimes just the tiniest little element can bring in that seasonal touch. On my place settings this year all I did was add these adorable bunnies to each one just to set the tone for Easter. It doesn’t always require a LOT of “stuff”. Sometimes less is truly more. Are these the cutest little things or what?
Add Easter eggs and wreaths to your current flower arrangement.
Haha! This is so simple it hardly seems worthy of mentioning on the one hand. But, on the other hand maybe this will inspire someone to do the same. I really like neutral colored eggs for certain areas of my home. Like my dining area, entry way and kitchen. If you can’t find them – paint them! Or decopauge them! They provide just a simple sweet, subtle Easter touch with their neutral vibe.
To bring a little additional Easter decor to my dining table I, again, just added a few of these neutral eggs in with the greenery and the DIY’d clay pots. The clay pots stay there…..I just incorporated the eggs. I like that it’s subtle, I like that it’s neutral and I like that it’s understated. This year I don’t really want a LOT of Easter fluff in here. I just want a minimal, but meaningful touch.
Adding small Easter touches that make a big impact
Again, the breakfast nook decor was simply added to my current existing decor. I placed my fun little porcelain Easter bunny inside my lantern that I’ve had on my table since Christmas and added some more of my neutral eggs. She matches my coffee bean bag curtains perfectly.
I decided this year to add some of my decoupaged eggs to my buffet this year. Much of the time I have black and white buffalo check plates on my plate rack, but since I have these neutral plates here this spring I thought it would be fun to incorporate the black and white checks here for a fun pop of color. Again, I love the look of them with the flowers here. These aren’t attached to sticks so I just placed them down in the arrangment. About as easy, breezy and it can get.
To my hutch I thought it would also be fun to add these little neutral bunnies with the black and white check bow ties for the final touch here.
Now that I no longer have Easter here at my house I don’t do quite as much decorating as I used to do. My son and daughter-in-law have it at their house now which is so fun, because they live on an acre of land and it’s much more conducive for an Easter egg hunt than my tiny patch of grass in the back yard. We’ve done so much to our yard with outdoor living areas, etc, that our lawn has shrunk. LOL. They enjoy having it there with both of their families and it makes for a really fun day, because my family is close to my daughter-in-law’s family and consider them family as well. And, I have to admit it’s really nice and relaxing not to have to host the meal! I show up with my eggs, my casserole dish or two and that’s it. I love it.
I do, however, still like to add some fun Easter touches around here just to feel the vibe and relish the season. Quick and easy Easter decor is the way to go! As a former interior designer and current homebody/home decor addict it’s just something in my blood. I simply must add a bit of seasonal Easter decor even if they are as easy and uncomplicated as the touches shared here. Like the old shampoo commercial said, “A little dab’ll do ya”. And that goes for Easter decor as well.
