There’s just nothing more beautiful than a young couple in love, unless of course, it’s a young couple in love and getting married in a breathtakingly beautiful outdoor setting…..like the lush gardens and lawns at the Dallas Arboretum. A perfect setting for a young, lovely couple like the one we went to see over the weekend. (I recently did a blog post about the their wedding shower you can see here.)
Upon entering the arboretum guests were immediately met with charming courtyards…
An array of colorful, gorgeous flowers….
Lush greenery and cozy bridges….
Leading through the lush lawns, trees and gardens.
Incredible beauty surrounding the guests everywhere we looked.
And little touches of the bride and groom met us on the way to the lawn where the wedding took place. This cute sign was also at the wedding shower.
Is there any venue more sweet and charming than a wedding on a grassy knoll….a three piece orchestra in the back…..And notice these amazing chandeliers? What an unusual, fun touch! So wedding-esque!
Touches of her wedding colors were prevalent in the seating. Two moss covered letter “C”s for Collin and Cassie hung at the back of the aisle. Along the rows of seating were mason jars filled with red flowers, tied onto the chairs with turquoise and red ribbon.
Just precious.
My good friend, Juanita, the brides beautiful Grammy….
And, her sweet and handsome Granddaddy.
The happy mother of the groom.
Judy, the mother of the bride was escorted by her much adored sons….all so happy this occasion was finally here.
Next the procession of the beautiful attendants. This is her cousin, Amelia, with her husband.
And, how adorable are these sweet things? Judy’s crafty sister Jan made these precious boxes. So cute!
Cassie, the happy, beautiful bride was escorted by her adoring father. He was trying desperately to keep his emotions in check and then right before he escorted her down the aisle she handed him a hanky embroidered with the words: Of All The Walks We’ve Taken Together In Life This Is My Favorite One…I Love You, Cassie
And, yes, as you can imagine – it about sent him over the edge.
The ceremony was performed by her cousin’s husband who did a fantastic job in making it poignant, sweet and fun. The blushing bride, the handsome groom and all her beautiful attendants were stunning to look at against the unusual backdrop of birdcages and of course the lush green that enveloped the ceremony.
The happy, joyful Mr. and Mrs. Collin Loftin….
Though the clouds were oppressing and ominous and the thunder was rumbling in the background the love that was in the air permeated the setting and the joy far outweighed the looming weather.
Cassie’s happy, joyful parents.
While family pictures were being taken guests migrated toward the spectacular reception area where all of Jan’s crafty touches showed up everywhere. These are two of the chairs she reupholstered and had at the shower for the bride and groom.
Love this adorable, fun “candy bar”.
Turquoise cotton candy to match her colors…..quite yummy, too!
So colorful, festive and fun. Just like our little Cassie!
Would you look at this burlap table skirt? How darling is that with all the bright red and turquoise displayed on top.
Each of the tables had a similar theme in her colors, but also had their own distinct look.
Personal touches were prevalent throughout the reception like these napkin rings with Cassie and Collin’s initials.
Me, Judy, Jan and their sweet daddy, Hal.
Familiar faces here to those who follow the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on CMT…..Judy, the choreographer with her good friend and DCC director, Kelly.
Jake, the pastor who performed the ceremony, with his wife, Cassie’s cousin, Natalie.
The ever touching first dance with the Mr. and Mrs….
Don’t you just love young love?
Dancing with her weepy, adoring father.
Sharing the joy with her beautiful mama.
Proud and happy Grammy with her gorgeous girls.
Time for fun and comfy shoes.
Great photo booth with fun props.
Caught eating cotton candy.
How’s this for a groom’s cake? Fun, huh?
And, how’s this for a wedding cake…..or should I say cake(s)? A beautiful cake table with several cakes in different shapes and sizes.
The “not so shy” flower girls singin’ it up on stage with the band.
The sisters, happy and having a good time.
Change of clothes and the tossing of the garter….
Which has that personal DCC touch of course.
And, off they go to start their new lives together.
Aaaahhhh………so sweet! Congratulations, Collin and Cassie!
