CHRISTMAS SHADOW BOX IDEAS: MARK ROBERTS DESIGNER HOLIDAY FAIRIES

There’s a showroom at the Dallas World Trade Center called Mark Roberts that has some of the most wonderful holiday accessories you’ll ever find.  And, I mean amazing, unusual, really fun things.  Especially for Christmas.  One off the things that really caught my eye was all of their wonderful Christmas fairies.  They have them all displayed beautifully in shadow boxes.  Each display is it’s own individual vignette telling its own story.

I thought these were so charming, sweet and fun.

These fairies could be displayed in a number of ways throughout your house or hung on the Christmas tree (I think an entire tree filled with fairies would be awesome).  But I like the way they have them done and I think these would be fun to display in a similar way in your own home:  In a large shadow box, painted to create a backdrop for that particular fairy series and arranged in a way to tell a story.   Much like they did in their vignettes at the showroom.

I also think they would be cute lit up and placed in the window so that they’re seen from the outside.

They have a number of them to choose from – all different characters with different “skills”.  I’m not going to lie…these aren’t cheap, but they are definitely great and would be a great addition to your Christmas décor.

Below are just a few of the vignettes they have on display.  Notice how each theme tells its own little story.

Candy Cane Fairy

Kringles Jingles Fairy

Candy Apple Fairy

Jolly Jester Fairy

Apple Cinnamon Fairy

Candlelight Fairy

Spirit of Hope Fairy

Lollypop Fairy

Lollypop Girl Fairy

Christmas Carnevale Fairy

Silver Bells Fairy

I’m thinking about doing a puppet show this Christmas for my grandkids.  These Christmas fairies would make such cute props and puppets!  I could set up the puppet theater much like they did these vignettes.  I don’t know if I’m doing it yet and I don’t have any of these fairies so I’ll have to come up with something else if I do.  But my grandkids would love a little puppet show based on any of these fun fairies.  Click here if you’d like to see a puppet show I did for them years ago.  (It’s a bit hokey and had to be broken up into two videos – part 1 and part 2.  Part 1 starts out dark until the lights came on, but it was funny and they were definitely mesmerized. So if I can get my grandma act together I’ll do it again!)

If you’d like to check out some of these amazing fairies you can go to his online store/website here.  You’ll find plenty of other Christmas décor there to peruse as well.

Happy Decorating!
