Brilliant Bedroom Ideas With A Savvy Designer’s Flair

There’s nothing like walking through beautifully done model homes to motivate, titillate, and get those designer juices flowing in all of us.  Even designers get excited and motivated seeing other designer’s innovative ideas.  Take a look at some of these fabulous bedrooms at the Kaleidoscope of Homes in Southlake, Texas this year.   Very bold, very creative…..and Fun, Fun Fun!

PA210437 How about that bold, fabulous wall?  Is that great or what?  What girl wouldn’t love coming home to this Hollywood “glam” everyday?

PA210438 Wonderful, feminine black chandelier.  Looks great with the fuchsia ceiling!  (These are the colors my daughter designed her room in.  But that’s a post for another day!)

Love this interesting, fun chair with all the prints and color combinations!  Interesting paired with the yellow nightstand.  Fabulous!

PA210440

Great idea with the frames.  Wonderful way to bring in shapes and colors to create an interesting wall. (And inexpensive to duplicate!)

PA210442Notice the details in this girlie bathroom!  Why not make it fun!  Don’t forget paint is your cheapest decorating tool.  And the impact it’ll make on a space is huge!  The writing on this wall isn’t overly professional looking either.  You could do this.  YOU COULD!!!

IMG_8709Now for the boys.  How is this for fun and creative?  And if you’re brave enough you could probably duplicate a similar wall.  It’s not a fine tuned mural. Just fun!  If you can’t do hands and fingers leave that part off and do circles, exclamation points, or stars.  Something simple.  It’ll still look great.  And your son and his friends will think you’re the greatest mom ever!

Great use of space combining seating and storage.  Large painted numbers create a fun look for the wall.

IMG_8711More than likely a wall like this would need to be done professionally.  But isn’t it cool?  Don’t be ordinary…..be extraordinary!

Dreamy older girl’s room or guest room.  Regal and sophisticated, but with the unexpected twist of the animal print.  Love that!

IMG_8714  Great finish and fun hardware on this piece.  Love the candlesticks.

Great, fun ideas, huh!?!  Some of these I’m sure you can do yourselves with a little ingenuity, creativity and confidence.  Why not try to duplicate a similar look in your own home?  Be bold, unique and have fun with it!  What you can’t pull off yourself hire a professional to do that part for you.  Make a statement with your home!  Give it personality! Give it attitude!

Happy Decorating!
