If you’re the type who’s always looking for a little extra seasonal detail for Christmas (that doesn’t cost an arm or a leg) here’s one way to do it.
Just by adding a touch of Christmas to the back of your chairs you’ve added an extra layer of detail and charm. I know you’ve seen small Christmas wreaths added to the backs of chairs and that’s always fun, but here’s another idea if you want something just a little different.
I purchased these small wicker baskets a few years ago from Hobby Lobby so I don’t have a link, but I’m sure you could find something similar.

These were not expensive and they were a good size for my chairs. Of course they can be used for other seasons or occasions as well which is a bonus.

They’re just a simple style – nothing fancy – but I love the texture and look of the natural wicker with my soft more formal looking ivory chairs.

I tied twine at the top so I could easily loop it onto the buttons on the back of the chairs.
Then I slipped in a small Christmas stem. I could have gone more dramatic here with more stems or with added bows, but I decided to keep it simple.

And that’s all there is to it. I know….its not rocket science is it? Lol. But sometimes it takes a visual like this to get the point across.
Just by adding this simple detail you can see it adds so much charm to my dining room.
