Last year for 2014 – after much soul searching – I selected as my word of the year, “Christlike“. (You can see that blog post here.) Because it embodied so many other characteristics that could have been my word of the year. And, though I certainly failed to reflect that word on a number of occasions (of course – a big word to live up to) it was none-the-less the right word for me to choose…..and the right character for me to aspire to.
After giving it some thought for this year – and mulling over the various words I deem important such as any or all of these….
This year the word that kept coming to my mind as the only real contender is……..drum roll please…..the
.
Yep, gratitude.
More and more I find myself realizing just how important this emotion…..this characteristic….this word and attitude is – in all aspects of life. And, I find myself praying daily for a heart attitude of gratitude in all things.
There’s always something to be thankful for.
And, I do believe being thankful….. finding something, anything to be grateful for and expressing that gratitude only brings good things to us….to our hearts and our attitude in life.
For this…..
And, this….
As well as the many blessings in my life (some of which I totally take for granted on a regular basis) and for many other reasons – I’m going to do my best to practice
an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
every day in the year 2015!
Because…..
Sooooo….without a doubt……
And, therefore, the attitude for me….
